Corrective Exercises

Process of using exercises to encourage proper body movement

Corrective exercises are specialized movements that are used to help teach the horse how to carry itself properly and use its muscles correctly. They are designed to take the horses’ anatomy and biomechanics into consideration. These exercises are great for breaking compensation patterns, strengthening weak muscles, and rehabbing muscles after an injury or surgery.

These exercises can be challenging at first. But the degree of difficulty can be adjusted as the horse becomes stronger. These exercises should only be done for short periods of time (10-15 minutes).
