K-tape

Process of applying elastic tape to the body

Kinesiology taping, also known as K-tape, is the process of applying elastic tape to the body. K-tape can be attached in a variety of patterns, on various parts of the body and at different degrees of stretch to achieve a specific goal. Uses include circulation, lymphatic drainage, spinal support, joint support, proprioception, trigger points, fascial lines, and much more.

The tape lifts the hide, which creates space underneath. This allows for increased circulation of blood, nutrients, and lymphatic drainage. The tape also communicates with the brain. It brings attention to areas of the body that need assistance. It can also act as an extension of your bodywork session by staying on for days.
